Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DOT app and related services (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use DOT. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• Do not share your account or let others sign in as you.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable use

When using DOT, you agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise harmful.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other members of your shared rooms.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours.
• Disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure.
• Use the app to send spam or to collect others' data without consent.

4. Your content

• You keep ownership of the content you create (journeys, check-ins, notes, photos, memories).
• You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your content solely to operate the app — for example, to show your check-ins to other members of your room and to sync across devices.
• You are responsible for the content you create and share, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

5. Shared rooms

DOT lets you share rooms with up to five members. Content you create in a shared room is visible to the other members. Be mindful of what you share. Leaving a room may remove your shared content from that room.

6. Service availability

We work to keep the app available and reliable, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for any data loss; please keep your own backups of anything important.

7. Termination

• You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that harms others or the service.

8. Disclaimers

DOT is a tool to help you build habits. It is not medical, psychological, or professional advice. You are responsible for decisions you make based on your use of the app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and/or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
